Mission Statement
ACM Women (ACM-W) supports, celebrates, and advocates internationally for the full engagement of women in all aspects of the computing field, providing a wide range of programs and services to ACM members and working in the larger community to advance the contributions of technical women.
ACM Women Asia Pacific is a regional committee formed in late 2019. We are working to fulfil the ACM-W mission in the Asia Pacific region. The ACM-Asia Pacific vision is a transformed Asian Pacific professional and scholarly landscape where women are supported and inspired to pursue their dreams and ambitions to find fulfillment in the computing field.

Meet the Chair

Jacqueline’s works globally within the academic, not for profit and private sectors to deliver projects spanning computing, neuroscience, robotics, cancer and STEM education. She is an active advocate for women and girls in STEM and recent awards include 2018 Future Makers Fellowship (CSL Australia) and 2019-2020 Superstars of STEM (STA). She currently balances her teaching and advocacy role with The Tech Girls Movement and Academy for Enterprising Girls, a Google educator grant and a project management position in Myeloma Australia’s Medical and Scientific Advisory Group. Jacqueline is the current chair of the ACM-W Asia Pacific.

The ACM Celebration of Women in Computing Asia Pacific (ACM-WAP) 2021 is a virtual event to be held on April 7, 2021 with the theme:
“Transforming Computing for a Better Future”
The celebration aims to bring together women from industry, education, and research to share ideas and experiences in transforming computing towards a future that we want to build. This inaugural event will feature presentations from prominent women who are researchers, educators, and professionals in the computing field in the Asia-Pacific Region.
