Everything working as (un)intended hackathon 2026

On April 1st, the National University of Singapore ACM-W Student Chapter collaborated with The Tech Bros, The Collective, and StartupX, to host everything working as (un)intended, an April Fools–themed vibe coding hackathon held in person in Singapore. The event brought together women in STEM for an evening of building fun, unconventional projects in a collaborative and supportive environment. Participants teamed up to prototype playful and unconventional ideas, leaning into the chaotic and experimental spirit of the April Fools theme while exploring new technologies and approaches to rapid prototyping. Beyond hacking, the event was also a great opportunity for attendees to meet new people, exchange ideas, and connect with different student and startup communities. Overall, the hackathon reflected ACM-W’s commitment to creating inclusive, community-driven experiences that empower and support women in computing.
